“SriMa” school is a Transformational Yoga school, founded by Swami Vidyanand with the head office located in New Delhi, India.
“SriMa” school is a member of YAI and this allows to carry out certified YTT 200 courses. This a common program that implies 200 hours of theoretical and practical classes during 3 weeks. And every student of our school has an opportunity to get this certificate that allows to work as yoga instructor worldwide.
“SriMa” school was named after Mirra Alfassa (1878 – 1973). She had been known under name SriMa or Mother – that is how spiritual leader Sri Aurobindo called her. Jointly they had created religious and philosophical movement “Integral Yoga”. After the Teacher passed away SriMa took over the leadership in Ashram, founded by him. Eventually Ashram had grown into a large community with around 1000 of members. After some time Mother founded international city Auroville with approximately 1200 inhabitants currently living there. It is called a City of Dawn, located on the Southern coast of India. Thus SriMa brought the idea of city free from politics and religious preferences. This is an experiment for creating international society and now it is under the auspices of UNESCO.
